Burundi
Burundi remains one of the poorest countries in the world. We work to reintegrate the poorest inhabitants by setting up income-generating activities. Each community decides which initiative is most suitable for its own situation. In addition to these income-generating activities, Memisa, together with the Red Cross of Burundi, strengthens mutual health organisations and sets up solidarity funds.
